This
Thai Yoga massage course is designed to provide the foundations
of this traditional massage system successfully integrating the
Buddhist values into a Thai Massage treatment.
Thai
Yoga Massage works to stimulate, open and balance the flow of energy
through the "sen" lines to assist the body in its natural
tendency towards self- |
| healing.
This is achieved through rhythmic manipulation of sen lines; joint
mobilisation; passive stretches and applied Yogic postures. |

COURSE
CONTENT & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN |

The
following are a list of some of the topics which are covered on
the course:
- Ancient Thai Massage is a unique
form of Body Therapy that incorporates Hata Yoga and Acupressure.
- You will learn the complete Traditional
set of Thai Massage in Front, Side, Back and Sitting positions
- Yogic exercises to help your
own strength and flexibility
- 134 positions, each one with
diagrams, photographs and descriptions.
- Stretching, Mobilisation and
Deep pressure techniques to release muscle tension and improve
flexibility.
- All relevant muscle and skeletal
A&P.
- A background to Chinese Medicine
and SEN theory.
- Safe practice techniques.
- Myofascial trigger points for
each area of technique
- Stretching; how to work with
key muscle reflexes
All techniques on a futon with
lightweight clothing required to allow for flexible movement.
Course materials include
a detailed folder containing a step-by-step guide to all practical
techniques and notes for all theory lectures.

REQUIREMENTS |

- a
validated Massage diploma from a bona fide institute.
- Completion of 5 case studies (4 treatments each)
(up to 4 months completion time is allowed after the course)
- a
practical examination lasting two hour.
- In-class
assessment and examinations.

OF COURSE |

56 hours training spread over 8
days, which are broken into 5 initial consecutive days, followed
by 2 days, usually a month after the first session in order to give
students enough practice time, and a final practical assessment
day.
Once qualified, Students will also benefit from ongoing training
days where at no extra cost they will be assisting the Tutor with
new classes with the role of Student/Assistant.

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the oldest Professional
Beauty, Sports and Complementary therapy organisation in the UK

completion of this diploma course will provide you with the title
of "Thai Yoga Massage Therapist",
