This massage course, also includes solid grounding in anatomy and physiology and has been developed to teach any aspiring individual the fundamentals of therapeutic bodywork.

It forms the stepping stone and open's the door for many other body work and massage courses.

WE ARE NOW FOLLOWING THE NEW ITEC QCF SYLLABUS (QUALIFICATION CREDIT FRAMEWORK) WHICH ALLOWS DIPLOMAS TO COUNT AS CREDITS TOWARDS FUTURE EDUCATION / UNIVERSITY COURSES
On completion of this massage diploma course you can start your own business by working from a health centre, clinic, home or carry out home visits.

Successful completion of this course will also allow students to join the General Council for Massage Therapy which is emerging as the lead body for massage therapy in the UK

MASSAGE COURSE REQUIREMENTS / PREREQUISITES / EXAMS
 
  • No formal training, just an genuine interest in massage, further study and helping people.
  • Home study - leave ample time to do work at home.
  • 1 Final Multiple Choice Papers - Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology
  • A practical examination lasting 1 hour.
  • six completed case studies (with minimum of 2 treatments each)
  • In addition to above, 18 further Massage treatments
  • Assignments relating to Business, Health & Safety and Less Common Pathology

THE EXAMINATION BODY - I.T.E.C.
 

The INTERNATIONAL THERAPY EXAMINATION COUNCIL (I.T.E.C) is an awarding body offering vocational qualifications in Complementary Therapy and Bodywork. ITEC is recognised and regulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), and the Department of Education and Employment. ITEC is an independent examining body that offers impartiality and objectivity in its examinations.

ITEC is recognised by insurance companies for professional liability insurance.

Successful completion of this diploma course will provide you with the title of "Massage Therapist", and the knowledge and techniques needed to give a treatment.

Practitioner insurance is also available upon successful completion of the course.
