Indian Head Massage has been practised for hundreds of years in India as a form of reducing stress, tension headaches and improving general well-being.

This course in Indian Head Massage teaches the popular Western approach.

The course includes video footage of Indian Head Massage as practised in India.

  • How to give an Indian Head Massage as practised in the West

  • Professionalism & Ethics
  • A final multiple choice paper (15 questions)
  • A practical examination lasting 30 minutes.
  • 2 completed case studies ( 2 treatments each) done at home.

Following successful completion, our students have progressed to go on and:

  • Offer Indian Head Massage / Chair Massage to employees in the workplace.
  • Offer Indian Head massage as an additional service to existing and new patients.
  • Work on clients who feel more comfortable with clothing on
  • Develop their own clinics as well as treat and consult a wider range of clients.
  • Develop their Continual Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
  • Study further courses such as Sports Massage, Lymphatic Massage or Deep Tissue Massage course

The INTERNATIONAL THERAPY EXAMINATION COUNCIL (I.T.E.C) is an awarding body offering vocational qualifications in Complementary Therapy and Bodywork. ITEC is recognised and regulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), and the Department of Education and Employment. ITEC is an independent examining body that offers impartiality and objectivity in its examinations.

ITEC is recognised by insurance companies for professional liability insurance.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with the title of "Indian Head Massage Therapist", and the knowledge and techniques needed to give a treatment.

Practitioner insurance is also available upon successful completion of the course.
