The Clinical Massage Series are
a course of 2 day workshops which provide detailed information about
the clinical anatomy, evaluation and techniques to treat (and when not to treat) common
conditions affecting the various parts of the body.
The course is aimed at improving the knowledge and technique skills
for massage therapists who want to progress from regular holistic
treatments and provide further services to presenting clients.
The current lectures include two
separate workshops which can be taken individually or together:

Back Massage Course:
Head & Neck Pain: Causes, Conditions & Treatment
(2 Day
Workshop)

Clients regularly present to a therapist
with head or neck pain and commonly are referred away or sometimes
treated so that the therapy is very general and non-specific.
The aim of this course is to equip the therapist with a range of
tools so that you can effectively deal with the situation, both
in terms of treatment or further referral. |

the Theory and Clinical Application of:
- Clinical Anatomy of the Head
& Neck
- Review of common conditions
- Headaches / Migraine, Arthritis,
Whiplash Injuries etc.
- Surface anatomy of the Head &
Neck
- Palpation - how and what to feel
- Effective postural evaluation
- Treatment using specific techniques:
- Deep Tissue Massage
- Neuromuscular Technique
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Safe Joint Articulation
- Rehabilitation exercises
