This Baby Yoga and Soft Stretching Diploma course is designed to teach the theory and practice of how to use Baby Yoga.

It is a practical course and will demonstrate how to instruct parents in groups as well as individually on how to practice massage, yoga and soft stretching with their baby safely.

• The benefits of yoga and soft stretching
• How Baby Yoga fits with Baby Massage and instinctive parenting
• The physical and emotional effects of yoga for baby and parent
• The safe practice of yoga and limitations as a teacher
• Contraindications to Baby Yoga and soft stretching
• How to carry out a Baby Yoga and Soft Stretching routine
• How to Teach Baby Yoga to Groups and Individuals
• Continuing Baby Massage with music and song
• Baby Yoga and songs
• Teaching breathing techniques, gentle streches and relaxation for parents
• Using baby dance and movement in a Baby Yoga class
• Teaching different groups of parents
• Yoga for colic and unsetlled babies
  
  This course is aimed at Baby Massage instructors who want to expand their classes to include Baby Yoga and set up indepenpent Baby Yoga classes. This course does not qualify you to teach "Mother and Baby Yoga" classes. The course covers yoga for babies and some gentle streches for parents. Further study of yoga at a teacher level is required to teach advanced yoga moves.

• Students must hold an accredited and approved diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and have completed a Baby Massage Instructors Diploma.

Following successful completion, our students have progressed to go on and:

• Offer Baby Yoga classes as an additional service to existing and new parents and their babies.
  
• Work teaching groups of parents or individuals interested in Baby Yoga.
• Develop relations with Local GP's and Health Visitors as well work in conjunction with National Organisations helping with under privileged children.
• Go on to further studies such as Toddler Massage, holistic pregnancy massage
• Supplement their full time income by working part time
• Help family and friends by providing regular Baby Yoga practice
• Develop their Continual Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
• Obtain insurance on qualification.
