Ayurvedic
Massage is relatively new to the West and Body Basics is one of
the first schools in the UK to teach this traditional form of therapy.
Ayurveda

of the 3 Doshas - Vata, Pitta & Kapha

Points, their anatomy and location and symptoms
- Yoga
postures and sequences to assit in treating diseases of the 3
Dosha
- Various
treatment methods of Marma including use of Aromatherapy Oils
- Marma
massage and its contraindications
- Shiro
Dhaara - controlled method of using a flow of fluid to pour onto
the forehead

COURSE
REQUIREMENTS / PREREQUISITES
|

- A
validated Massage diploma from a bona fide institute.
- Completion
of 5 case studies, with 3 massage each
(up to 3 months completion time is allowed following final exams)
- A
final written examination lasting 3 hours.
- A
practical examination lasting one hour.
- Continual
class assessment

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the oldest Professional
Beauty, Sports and Complementary therapy organisation in the UK
with a very dedicated membership and has been representing therapists
for over 40 years.
It
has the largest membership of any multi-disciplinary therapy organisation
in the UK with over 21,000 members.
It
is totally independent of any external commercial interests and
is a true not-for-profit organisation. It enforces high professional
standards, requiring its members to abide by a strict Code of Ethics
and Professional Practice.
Successful
completion of this diploma course will provide you with the title
of "Deep Tissue Massage Therapist",
and the knowledge and techniques needed to give a treatment.
Practitioner
insurance is also available upon successful completion of the course.
