Myofascial
Release Technique
This is a whole-body, hands on approach for the evaluation and treatment
of the human structure.
There
are a variety of techniques that can be used and range from gentle
releases to "rolling" of tissue.
Appreciating
that fascia envelope's all the body tissues, it is possibly one
of the most effective techniques to achieve lasting change in bodies
where fascial distortion is maintaining dysfunction and resulting
in pain.
Neuromuscular
Technique (NMT) & Trigger Points
NMT is an efficient method of treatment and can be used to assess
and treat myofascial dysfunction.
It
forms an important method of treatment for the release of muscular
tension and more specifically to assist in the deactivation and
removal of Myofascial Trigger Points.
A
variety of treatment methods are explored including the use of pressure,
heat and ice.
Muscle
Energy Technique (MET)
MET is a manipulative treatment, which uses active muscular contraction
in order to release the restrictions at the joint/muscle barrier.
Several
different types of muscular actions are used including, Isometric,
Isotonic,Isokinetic, and Isolytic, contractions to achieve lasting
change.
Harmonic
Technique
These are resurrected techniques using oscillations to induce
harmonic movements in the body.
Both
the soft tissue as well as the articular system of the body can
be manipulated using body masses to induce rhythmical body motion.
The
techniques are gentle, easy to apply and extremely effective.
Joint Articulation
Mobilisation of large joints, including the spine
to improve gross mobility
